Eagle blue, week 6, post 2

"That’s their focus now- getting to state (252.)

This quote is significant to Eagle Blue in several ways. Not only does it show that the team takes little steps towards their big goal, but it also shows how hard they have worked this season in order to get to the position they are in at this point. The little steps taken by the Eagles include taking each game play by play, and doing what they can to come up with new strategies to defeat their opponents. After a loss, or even a win, the team comes up with ideas of how they could improve and what they can do during practice to make them better players. The practices they attend are no walk in the park. They do several drills that tire them out, but yet almost every player on the team would do them a thousand times over if it meant winning the next game. Taking little steps to achieve a big goal is a good philosophy to live your life by. If you do one thing at a time, you will accomplish so much more than if you do so many things at once that you get overwhelmed and need to stop. People who do this never tend to accomplish big things in their lives. The people who do things one thing at a time, on the other hand, are much less overwhelmed and have a better chance of reaching their goal. This quote in Eagle Blue, could be used not only for the team in this book, but also as a philosophy for everyday life.
